Björn Wallander


Growing up in the small harbor town of Västervik in Southern Sweden, Björn began his studies in engineering though quickly  realized  that photography was his true passion. He began his career as a photographer in Norway and eventually moved to NYC, where he worked with photographers Knut Bry,  Brigitte Lacombe, Albert Watson, and  Frederick Lieberath.  While assisting, Björn was always working on his own projects, and developing his own style in the areas of portraiture and interiors.  Björn currently resides in NYC. When not shooting, he can be found either biking or sailing somewhere beautiful, camera in hand.

Björn has contributed to publications including Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, Harper's Bazaar, WSJ Magazine, Vogue Brazil, Casa Vogue, Man Of The World, Departures, Veranda, Martha Stewart, Oprah, House Beautiful, New York Magazine, Flaunt, Dwell, and Real Simple. His advertising clients include  Ralph Lauren, American Express, Tribeca Film Festival,  Thompson Hotels, The  Shelborne Hotel, Wedgwood, Infiniti and Pottery Barn.
